Come and join us to hear from the Award-Winning Harvard Business School Professor Mihir Desai on The Wisdom of Finance in a relaxing Sunday afternoon. Professor Desai will share findings from his new book: The Wisdom of Finance: Discovering Humanity in the World of Risk and Return.

Professor Desai seeks to demystify and rehabilitate finance by exploring the big ideas of finance through the unusual prism of the humanities. He shows that outsiders can access the underlying ideas easily, while insiders can reacquaint themselves with the core humanity of their profession and see their works as uplifting and aspirational rather than dispiriting. From the French revolution to film noir, from the history of probability to Jane Austen, Mel Brooks, and The Simpsons, he provides an entertaining and novel approach to finance that puts a moral lens on the ideas and practice of finance.
